Flight 1549

I am sure that all of you have read accounts from passengers that were on Flight 1549. I have received so many through email but the one that I got yesterday was from a man that was supposed to be on the 5pm flight but got his flight bumped to the 3pm flight. This passenger was seated in row 8J.At the end of his first hand account he lists 4 lessons that he learned that day. I thought they were worth passing along...

For now I have 4 lessons I would like to share:

1. Cherish your families as never before and go to great lengths to keep
your promises.

2. Be thankful and grateful for everything you have and don't worry about
the things you don't have.

3. Keep in shape. You never know when you'll be called upon to save your
own life, or help someone else save theirs.

4. When you fly, wear practical clothing. You never know when you'll end up
in an emergency or on an icy wing in flip flops and pajamas, and of
absolutely no use to yourself or anyone else.

And I'd like to add: Fly with gray-haired pilots!

Thinking About Kaylin....

Tonight all our love and prayers are with our Kaylin, who is in the hospital in Tempe. It is her birthday next Friday so we hope for a speedy recovery for our girl. Grandma's on her way Kaylin!

Dog Lover's Listen Up....

A good friend sent this to me today...

When GOD had made the earth and sky, the flowers and the trees, He then made all the animals and the birds and bees.
And when His work was finished and not one was quite the same,
He said "I'll walk this earth of mine and give each one a name".
And so He traveled land and sea and everywhere He went, a little creature followed Him until its strength was spent.
When all were named upon the earth and in the sky and sea, the little creature said:
"Dear Lord, there's no name left for me!”
The Father smiled and softly said,
"I've left you to then end,
I've turned my own name back to front and called you "DOG", my friend.

I'm Not Ready To Talk About....

Jason, Melissa or Molly... I am hoping that all the rumors I have heard, and spoilers that I have read are completely false. IDONTTHINKSO..

Who thinks Jillian will be the next Bachelorette?
Couldn't they try an older more sophisticated Bachelorette and choose Stephanie?

I think I am DONE after this one. (sigh)

A360, Heard of It? Yeah, Me Neither Until Today!

This morning at work I was going through my email and I had many new emails in my Junk Mail. This is normal for me as I have resumes coming in from 3 states right now for different positions that we are hiring for. None of this was unusual at all. I clicked on the first one with the word Resume in the subject line. No sooner had I done this (opened no attachment) my computer instantly freaked out and all sorts of things were downloading and I couldnt cancel or stop them. After "it" finished there was a new icon on my desktop that said A360 and it was the same colors as the AVG software is.What is a girl to do when this happens?

(It totally felt like this by the way)

She immediately calls her IT guy who is a...

And he makes her computer ALL BETTER! Thanks, MATT!

Anyone Looked Out the Window Lately???

I even heard birds chirping outside the bathroom window this morning. There was a wonderful blue sky...these are a few things that say "It's going to be a fantabulous day" and it was until I came out of work and something like the first picture was there to greet me for my drive home. UGH!

Another One That Made Me Laugh....

Seriously!

Need Some Help....

I have been looking for this Aveeno Ultra Calming Moisturizer because it is oil-free and the "nice lady" that helped me last night at Wal-Mart says they don't carry it but online it says they do carry it at the store. IF any of you know where I can find this I would be much appreciative!

Silly post I know but who wants to run all over town looking for one item?

We can't wait!

This Made Me Laugh.... Isn't it So True?

Goal Call Mondays.... Trying this one again...

Since today was President's Day I had the day off of work, which was nice to have a 3 day weekend so I am setting a few goals for this week,(short week, better chance of success) :) hoping they will eventually turn into habits.

1- Wake up each day during the work week by 7 am.

2- Stay completely and totally caught up with the laundry.

3- Do not eat out at all this week.

4- Gym three times (at least) this week with Alyson, Kenz or Colby.

Four is a good even number... Wish me Luck!

"What you are about to witness IS potentially....

so dramatic, so emotionally difficult we decided out of respect for the parties involved to keep the taping of tonights show as intimate as possible." What the heck? So we were wrong with the Jillian/Melissa finale, but tonight I decided that Jillian was not the right one.(I did decide this and proclaim it out loud after their date, long before she got sent home!) Okay, so why the secrecy? Thoughts anyone? Maybe he chooses to be with Deanna, maybe Melissa's parents show up and they just need their privacy...Maybe, Maybe and more maybe's. I am going to still say that Melissa will get the final rose, proposal and the ring.Molly still bugs me and she does not get emotional or show affection like Melissa does! Label me confused for the next 2 weeks and may the best(Melissa)woman win.

Happy Love Day, So Many Ways to Say It!

THE FIRST STAKE IN THE WEST INDIES MISSION HAS BEEN APPROVED!

This new LDS Stake will be created in Trinidad the weekend of Feb.28th-March 1st. This is an exciting time for the West Indies mission. I know that every year for the last 3 years the number of baptisms has doubled and in the year 2008 the mission baptized a total of 2012 West Indies people who were waiting for a missionary to find them.I (borrowed) two of these pictures from Sister Robison off of the West Indies mission blog. The one of President Robison right after he got the call the the Stake had been approved and the West Indies mission blog header. It is to beautiful to not include here. I know that the West Indies is a very special and unique mission and we are so blessed that Elder Andy and all the missionaries who have previously served or who are serving now were all an amazing part of this Stake being approved. "I never said it would be easy,I only said it would be worth it"

TaGgEd by V... 5 of my Addictions... Like that is all I have!

-THESE ARE LISTED IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER-

I am addicted to flip flops! You will find these on my feet even at 10 degrees or a foot of snow on the ground and always at Bear Lake. My feet hate to be in shoes (foot claustrophobia-LOL) and they are just too cute. Check out the ones with the ribbons, they can be so casual or dressed up with a little heel. They go to the beach or to work (at least my work) anywhere I go they go. (and who knew they came in cake?!?)

I gots to have my reality TV.(The Bachelor in 2 days!)

Movie theater popcorn eaten with Milk Duds. (make caramel popcorn right in your mouth) I can't be the only person with this one can I?

I love blogging. I love to see what is going on with all my friends and family. I have to thank Meliss for giving me her blog address when I ran into her at Iggy's!

Downey..... I love Downey liquid, it can't be the Downey in the detergent. The lavender vanilla is by far my favorite. I hate the Downey ball, enough said.

However, this little scent below now has my full attention and has replaced my Downey for the time being. The lavender lilac scent reminds me of the lilacs at my Grandma Nielsen's house and it smells so good. (also comes in detergent and dryer sheets) :)
