Lemon Picker Wanted

The woman applying for a job in a Florida lemon grove seemed to be far too qualified for the job; given her liberal arts degree from the University of Michigan and her jobs as a social worker and school teacher.

The foreman frowned and said, "I have to ask you this: "Have you had any actual experience in picking lemons?"

"Well, as a matter of fact, I have! I've been divorced three times,
owned 2 Chryslers, and I voted for Obama."

PS- My favorite lemon picker is in AZ hopefully picking tons of fresh lemons to bring home to me!!
Hint, Hint!!

Timing

Never forget that answers come in God’s time -- not ours. This is something that I have been thinking about a lot lateley. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” God has promised His own a hopeful future. Rest in God’s faithfulness. He will answer you. Only God can see the big picture. He has planned out everything to intertwine perfectly in the end.

Bearadise or Last Resort

Or whatever this place ends up being called, these are from January and I hear a lot has changed since I took these! My parents are in AZ this week, but when the massive tiling adventures ensues, I will be making a trip to the lake to see what's new!

Called To Serve

On March 9th my nephew Riley received and opened his mission call. Andy had such an incredible mission we have said for the last 3 years "we hoped Riley could go to the West Indies too!" When Andy got his mission call to the West Indies mission, the hymn I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go, took on a different meaning for me. The part that says "it may not be on a mountain height, or over the stormy sea" always hits home with me as Andy got called to the islands of the Carribbean Sea.Riley has been called to serve for 2 years in the Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West, spanish speaking mission. He too has been called to the Carribbean Sea. I am so grateful that I was able to be released from the hospital that day and be there when he opened his call. To see the look on his face, as he read the words from our Prophet was so special. I will never forget it! He truly will be a remarkable missionary. The people in the Dominican Republic that are waiting, just for Riley to teach them the gospel, are very lucky! Riley reports to the MTC in Provo on 6/15/11 and will be there about 8 weeks learning Spanish. We are all so proud of him and his choice and dedication to serve a mission.

Here are some pictures from him opening his call and some of my favorite people that were able to be there! The last pictures are the Santo Domingo skyline, the beach and the LDS temple that Riley will be fortunate enough to be able to attend.
