Winter Wonderland
Guitar Hero World Tour Stops in Hyde Park?!?
Yes,there was a concert on Friday morning in Hyde Park starring Riley, Andy. Kenzie and Colby. Let's just say that no one in our family will ever try out for American Idol.. Let's just say that we will continue to sing only in the privacy of our homes where people love us, the shower and possibly the car.
Grandpa has a new hobby...
Grandpa has come home from AZ with lots of radio controlled toys. Here you can see the helicopter that everyone was taking turns flying and making bets where they could land the thing, on top of table, on top of the french door, on an X on the floor, etc. My parents have really high ceilings in the family room and some of the grandkids would fly the helicopter up to the ceiling and over the railing into grandpa's office. It really was neat to watch.
I don't know how long it took Chris and my Dad to put this truck together but it was a lot of work. As soon as it was done all the grandkids, big and little, wanted to see the truck go in the snow. As you can see there was a little too much snow for even for this truck to get through!
Isn't Ping Pong an Olympic Sport?
And then there was 3...dogs that is
There definately has to be a post about the 3 dogs in our life! Aggie, Cabo and Bella are so funny and get along most of the time unless there is a bone, a toy, or an instigator of doggie fighting (colby) in the room with them. I had to take a picture of the Gourmet Doggie Cookies Santa brought these little pooches... Has anybody seen Marley and Me yet? Kenz and I went on Saturday and should of packed a box of Kleenex if you get my drift. It was so good, anybody who has a dog will understand.
We are NOT the Lame Family Anymore...
On Christmas Eve Andy and Colby kept saying how our family was "The Lame Family" since we had not yet become the proud owners of a Wii game system. (little did they know Aunt Nie Nie had found one for them a few days before Christmas and right at that moment their Wii was out in Ted's truck waiting to be handed off to me, the best secret keeper ever!) So here are a few pics of them opening the Wii, and yes I missed the money shot again and didnt get the actual picture of the Wii so enjoy this Google Image in it's place.
Chocolate Covered Strawberries...and Tereck
On Christmas Eve I was sitting in the living room and I could see Tereck going into the dining room (no one else was in there at the time) and he climbed up on the chair and proceeded to take a chocolate covered strawberry and bite the end off and put it back on the plate and then he would repeat this over and over.I finally went in and sat by him and he would put them in his mouth and then say "it's good" and continue on. So cute!
Christmas Eve
We hosted Christmas Eve at our house this year. It was so much fun, even though it was kind of close quarters. We had fantastic food, wonderful company, and excellent conversation. It would of been perfect had Anjanette and her family been able to be with us. As you can see Trevin is now almost as tall as Ashley, Grandpa and his hardware store for an ankle are getting around really well and Tereck,Kenzie and Tylee were having a great time!
On the Tenth Day of Christmas
Twitch Died! Yes, that is the name of Kenzie's car and Colby was hit in Sardine Canyon on the night of the 23rd. As you can see the car is totaled, but thankfully Colby managed to get by with a few cuts from the glass,(he remembers spitting glass out of his mouth) and lots of bruises. He had glass in his left eye but that is fine now and the only real remembrance of the accident is the black and blue bruises on his left leg. They thought he might have a broken leg but he was lucky (blessed) that it wasn't.
Early Christmas...
Since Alyson was spending Christmas in Ogden with her family and Andy was spending the holidays in Logan with his family we decided to open presents with Alyson a few days before she went home. Here are a few things that she got but the one present I didnt get a picture of is the new pair of shoes we gave her (since Bella has eaten at least 3 or 4 pair of her shoes). So we are slowly making up for all the times she has went to go home and she finds her shoes in pieces or can't find them at all.
P.S. It has been at least 2 months now since Bella has chewed anyone's shoes and she had plenty of opportunity on Christmas Eve!!!
