As soon as Tayten opens those big baby blues in the morning, he wants to watch the trains on You Tube. Trains and football are this boys favorites right now!

Treats & A Flashback

I uploaded these pictures over a week ago but every time I go to write about this night I get a bit emotional. While Tayten was sitting on my new bar stools (thanks kids) enjoying his Temptation Cupcake I just stared at him and all I saw was Colby sitting there. Flashback 25 years to Colby sitting on a bar stool in an apartment in Aurora, CO. I honestly got tears in my eyes, seeing Colby in Tayten. How proud I am of my oldest son! He is an amazing daddy to Tayten and Tayten adores him! Tayten is always his first priority, he works so hard to provide for Tayten and he takes such sweet care of him. It melts my heart. Tayten has so many of Colby's characteristics that it is crazy!! The statement "Like Father Like Son" couldn't be more true. I love this sweet boy like nobody's business. Tayten was born on 5/23/09 (23, just like his Daddy, Grandma and Auntie Kenz) right when I was going through the darkest, saddest time in my life. It might sound crazy to say this little boy "saved" me but he did. Seeing him at least 3-4 times a week kept me going. Kept me sane. He was my miracle that I needed. I can't wait to watch him grow up!

White Flag & Sleep is Under Rated

I am so close to throwing in the white flag and surrendering. 2011 has already kicked my rear a few times and has been a bit overwelming if I might add. And, it is only the 10th day of 2011.
Just THREE little posts below this one, I said 2011 had to better, different etc. and so far NOT.SO.MUCH.

However, I have gotten some really good sound sleep the last 3 nights, Thanks,to Dr. Goates and my new friend Lunesta I do feel a bit more optimistic about life.Colby said I even had a little spring in my step tonight! I just might make it until Spring decides to show up! If it could just hurry... Amazing though what a H.U.G.E difference sleep, blissful sleep can make to ones mental outlook. Sleep is definately under rated!

New Blogger In The Fam...

My most amazing favorite daughter in law, Alyson is now completely done at USU and she has decided to find the time to blog! This makes me super excited! I heard she was even late to church yesterday because she doing her first post! :) For those of you that know Andy and Al you can keep up with them here www.acroftsquared.blogspot.com I am sure that Al will keep it very entertaining.

A Special Gift for A Special Girl

Kenzie could not wait to see what her Dad got her for Christmas this year! It was such a surprise they had to cover her up so she couldn't see what it was. Her Dad had made her a custom pink fly rod (we just had the discussion that it's a rod not a pole) with her name on it. She loves it so much I heard she got a little emotional over the amazing gift. Steve has made fly poles for both of the boys and for himself. He does a really nice job and Kenz is really excited to have one just for her. She can't wait to try it out next July in Leadville! She even looks like she knows what she's doing!

Goodbye...Hello

I say good-bye to 2010 and not only good-bye but a BIG FAT Good Riddance! I am so glad that 2010 is done, over, finito, GONE! I felt the same way about 2009 too, but that is a completely different story and this is supposed to be about moving forward to a different kind of a year. And by different, I mean BETTER.

And, by BETTER I mean, healthier,smarter, happier,brighter,grateful,kinder,blessed,slower,quiet, peaceful,generous, prayerful,and full of opportunities and love.Welcome 2011 you couldn't have come at a more perfect time!

Look at the new year 2011 as a new book, the pages are fresh and blank. We are all going to put the words and pictures in our book.The book is called Life and New Years Day is the first chapter!
